Dr. Debapriya Bhattacharya

Dr. Debapriya Bhattacharya is the Executive Director of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a leading civil society think-tank in Bangladesh. He is a member of the governing body of BRAC - the largest NGO in the world. He was the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Economic Association for three consecutive terms. He is the Regional Editor of the Oxford Development Studies and Member of the Editorial Board, South Asian Studies. Dr Bhattacharya is also the Chairman of the EU-LDC Network. Dr. Bhattacharya is the first Chairman of D.Net (January 2001-September 2004). |

Dr. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed

Dr. Ahmed is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Independent University, Bangladesh and Senior Research Fellow at the Development Research Network. His research interests include environmental valuation, environmental impact assessment and relationship banking. He is co-author with K. Gotoh of Cost-benefit Analysis of Environmental Goods by Applying the Contingent Valuation Method: Some Japanese Case Studies (Tokyo: Springer, 2006). He was awarded Environmental Science Paper Award in 2005 by Center for Environmental Information Science (CEIS), Tokyo, Japan.
