Anniversary Seminar Series: Call for Papers
Youth and ICTs

D.Net invites you to participate in Anniversary
Seminar Series and submit papers on three different themes.
Best papers under each theme will be presented in the
seminar series.
The seminars will be
held during January28 - 29, 2006.
Eligibility
Bellow 30 years researchers
and students having unique ideas.
Themes
ICTs and Human Rights.
ICTs and Human Resource Development
ICTs and Localization

ICT and Human Rights: The paper should focus on the Human Rights issues which can be facilitated by Information and Communication Technologies. Last mile information dissemination, real time information supply to people who seeks for protection of human rights and related issues might be focused on the paper.

ICT and Human Resource Development: Role of ICTs in efficient management and development of human resources, how ICT enabled services can help to that extent and improve the capacity of our workforce,
may be discussed in the paper.

ICT and Localization: Initiation and utilization of Bangla contents and Bangla software so that local people can be benefited from it, initiatives to make the new technologies and services available and popularised in the local context- will be emphasized the papers.
Paper submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit papers, no more than Twelve (12) pages in size [A4 page, single spaces, font: times new roman, font size: 12] including tables, figures and references. Paper will be accepted only by electronic submission through the anniversary web site.
Authors without Internet access should contact the forthcoming anniversary secretariat well before the submission deadline. Authors are requested to provide his/her detail address and contact phone number.
Award for Best Papers
Best authors in each theme will
be invited to present the paper in the seminars to be held during January 28-29, 2006. Author of the best paper will be awarded Tk.1000, and a certificate.
Paper presentation
Selected authors shall prepare a PowerPoint presentation which (s)he can present within 10 minutes. Every presentation will be followed by panel dissuasion.
Submission Deadlines
Submission of Paper: January 10, 2006
Notification of award: January 20, 2006
All authors will be invited to the seminar series.
