Computer Literacy Center (CLC) has been inaugurated
A Computer Literacy Center (CLC) has been inaugurated on July 21, 2007 South Satkania Golam Bari High School at Lohagara thana under Chittagong district. D.Net has undertaken a long-cherished promising initiative - ‘Computer Literacy Program' (CLP) by Volunteers Association for Bangladesh, New Jersey Chapter (VAB-NJ)- to facilitate access to ICT knowledge for the rural disadvantaged people, particularly youths, with the prime objective to make ICT work for them. Under this initiatives, 3 Computer Literacy Centers (CLC) in different regions of Bangladesh has been established sponsored by Bank Asia, Bangladesh.
On the occasion of the CLC opening ceremony Md. Irfanuddin Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director of Bank Asia, Prof. Mahmudul Alam, Professor of Education, Bangladesh Open University, Mr. Ajoy Kumar Bose , Director (Operations) D.Net, Mr. S.M. Khorshed Alam, SEVP, Bank Asia, Mr. Md. Roshangir, EVP Bank Asia and Mr. Narayan Kanti Das, Head Teacher, South Satkania Golam Bari High School, Mr. Mohiuddin, Manager Bank Asia and a large number of local elite persons, teachers and students were present.
