A Computer Literacy Center (CLC) has been inaugurated on March 22, 2008 Garpara Bohumukhi High School at Manikgonj Sadar, under Manikgonj District. D.Net has undertaken a long-cherished promising initiative - ‘Computer Literacy Program' (CLP) by Volunteers Association for Bangladesh, New Jersey Chapter (VAB-NJ)- to facilitate access to ICT knowledge for the rural disadvantaged people, particularly youths, with the prime objective to make ICT work for them. This CLC is sponsored by Dr. Humayara Islam Khan, Garpara, Manikgonj. In the inauguration ceremony Mr. Arastoo Khan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Peoples Republic of Bangladesh was present as a chief guest. Mr. Ajoy Kumar Bose (Director Operation), Mr. Zahid-Al-Mahadi (Assistant Director), Mr. Abdul Hannan (System Engineer) of D.Net and local honorable persons were present in the occasion. The inauguration ceremony was followed by a cultural programme by the students of the school.
