4th Biennial General Meeting (BGM) of D.Net

 
The 4th Biennial General Meeting (BGM) of D.Net was held in Dhaka at D.Net’s conference room on June 21, 2008. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Toufic Ahmad Choudhury, Chairman of the governing body of D.Net, and Professor, Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM). Dr. Choudhury welcomed all members to the meeting and noted that D.Net established some good reputation in the filed of research, particularly on ICT4D issues, both at home and abroad. Prof. Mustafizur Rahman, Executive Director of CPD, eminent writer Ms. Selina Hossen, Mr. Rafiqul Islam Rowly, CEO of CSL Software, Mr. A. K. M. Fahim Mashroor, CEO of bdjobs.com, Dr. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer of D.Net, Dr. Shah Md. Ahsan Habib, Program Head, D.Net, Mr. Anir Chowdhury, e-Gov advisor, UNDP, Mr. Mahmud Hasan, COO of BTN, Mr. Ajoy Kumar Bose, Head Institutional Affairs of D.Net and Mr. M. Azmat Khan, Director, MF Corporation Ltd. were present in the meeting.
 

Chairman read out the agenda among the members. In the first session Dr. Ananya Raihan presented D.Net’s Annual Reports for FY 2006-2007 and FY 2007-2008, Dr. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed presented financial report for FY 2006-2007, FY2007-2008 and budget for FY 2008-2009 in the meeting. The members accepted both annual reports and financial reports. In the second session a one-member election commission has been formed to elect the Governing Body (GB) for FY 2008-2010. Following persons has been unanimously elected for FY 2008-10:
