Three Computer Literacy Centers (CLCs) have been inaugurated on April 19, 2008 at Padua A.C.M. High School, Adhunagar High School and Chunati High School under Lohagara Upazila in Chittagong district sponsored by Bank Asia Ltd. D.Net has undertaken a long-cherished promising initiative - ‘Computer Literacy Program' (CLP) by Volunteers Association for Bangladesh, New Jersey Chapter (VAB-NJ)- to facilitate access to ICT knowledge for the rural disadvantaged people, particularly youths, with the prime objective to make ICT work for them. Under these initiatives, Bank Asia Ltd. extended it’s hands to establish 13 CLCs in different regions of Bangladesh under Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) programme.

In the opening ceremony Alhaj Safiq Uddin, Director of Bank Asia Ltd was present as chief guest. The programme was chaired by Mr. Syed Anisul Huq, President and Managing Director of Bank Asia Ltd. Md. Irfanuddin Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director of Bank Asia Ltd, Dr. Toufic Ahmad Chowdhury, Chairman of D.Net, Mr. Nurul Alam, Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh Bank, Mr. S.M. Khorshed Alam, Zonal Head of Bank Asia Ltd were present as special guests.

Among others Mr. Ajoy Kumar Bose, Head, Institutional Affairs and Mr. Abul Kalam Azad, Programme Officer of D.Net, Mr. Mohiuddin, Manager, Bank Asia Ltd, Lohagara Branch and a large number of local elite persons, teachers and students were present in the occasion.
